My Wonderful Husband_
Gotta love him right? He thinks he is SO funny! Tuesday is my birthday, so this weekend he's been all over me asking what I want for my birthday. SO I told him.. I want a new tattoo, cash towards my Reno trip, clothes..  any one of those things would be just fine. He looks at me and says, "How about something practical like stuff for the kitchen..." Um hello, things for me to use to make things for YOU is not a birthday gift. A birthday gift is something that I get to enjoy for me. His other suggestion was new furniture. Yes, we need new furniture but don't use my birthday as an excuse to buy it! Sheesh man.. I also gave him a more reasonable suggestion.. the butterfly ring I have been wanting for like 2 yrs now. But I'd also like for him to come up with something on his own for a change. No one likes to pick out their own gift. All I know is we're going out to dinner, not sure where yet.

It’s finally here…

Summer that is!

Today was the kids last day of school. Since our school is transisitioning to a Traditional schedule, they will have a full 6 wks off for summer. I am not too thrilled lol. Although, the upside is that I don't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn for a little while. The down side? Well, my sanity will be wavering, more so than it already is *wink* I am however looking forward to putting my youngest in Kindergarten! What a milestone that will be for me. All 5 boys in school, wow. I've been waiting like 10 yrs for this day to come and it is finally here! I may just end up with a much cleaner house.. don't hold me to that though. I am not sure what I will do with myself when they are all in school FULL time! It should be interesting. Anyway, pizza should be here shortly and then I am going to watch a cheesy Disney flick that is premiering tonight with my boys. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Holy Pens Batman!

Awhile back when my husband was working for the storage company, he came home with a garbage bag full of pens, literally! There had to be at least 1000 pens in that bag. Apparently, this company bought them special with their name on them and put them in storage and just forgot about them, so he brought them home!

Well, he put some in my dresser drawer (don't ask why, because even I don't know), and he kept some in the bag in the closet. We thought we'd have pens for life... or at least a pretty long time. Pens always disappear in this house so we just grabbed a new one every time we couldn't find the last one we were using.

It didn't take very long before all the pens.. even the ones in bag were completely gone. So, now it's like 6 months later and I am randomly finding these marketing pens all over my house and in the craziest places!

I found one in my tupperware cupboard and in my bathroom drawer. I think my tupperware lids are taking notes on how to get lost so that I have to buy all new ones.

So, how was your day?

Only In My Dreams…

Yep, it's that time again, time for one of my notorious blabber-on-at-random posts. Ok, well it's not entirely about nothing. The other day I was watching a marathon of Clean House. I love these home renovation shows, even though they always leave me feeling a little tiny bit envious.

For instance there was one episode, not sure which show it was from, Moving Up on TLC, I think, but they re-did one of the spaces into a little mini-me sized movie theater.

I would absolutely love my own private theater, especially if I had my very own popcorn machine complete with a pump of that oh so special movie popcorn butter that I love so much. And don't even get me started on the home theater chairs, the leather, the cup holders....ok now I am salivating.

I think this is something my husband would agree with me about, don't you?

Anyway, out of dreamland.. yesterday I spent the entire day with a massive migraine. It was so horrible. I had to have my mom take the kids and get me something over the counter specially for migraines although it only helped a little. I had Motrin in the house but I had exceeded the daily dosage and it wasn't working anyway.

I am alot better today though, thank goodness. I better go start making dinner before my little ones start gnawing on each others limbs.

Have a great day y'all!

The Weekend and a Movie Review!

On Friday, my niece turned 2! My mom and I babysat that night for a little while because it was also my sister inlaws sister inlaw's 30th birthday. Are ya still with me?

So my mom picked up the girls from the party on her way home from work. Lexi was so wound up, my moms aid she talked the E-N-T-I-R-E way home! And I believe it too because as soon as I got in the car she was calling me "Fyfe!!!" so I'd look at her.. except I didn't respond unless she said *Auntie* Fyfe. So then she did and I'd say what and turn around and she'd say "Look at my tongue... aaaaahhhh" and then I'd do it back and she'd be in hysterics. We pretty much did this from my house all the way back to their house. I nearly peed my pants LOL.

On Saturday was Lexi's party. Oh boy wasn't that fun! It actually was very fun except the birthday girl was a little crabby. She was happy just full of attitude and I think with all the people and all the kids in and out of the house was a little much. Not to mention that she was up til 11 pm the night before. They rented a jump house and had that in the front yard so she was jumping alot. They also had a pinata.. no one got smacked in the head or anything. It was a good time.

My husband kicked me out of the house for the night.. so my mom and I went to the mall to try on clothes that we had no intention of buying lol. Except that if I did actually find something I liked and it was cheap enough then I might buy it. But unfortunetly I didn't, all I did find out is that I can't shop at Old Navy until I drop a few. But I did discover a store, Torrid, and I think I will be getting a few outfits from them.. they really have some cute stuff! I can finally be a size Zero!! It'll be the only time though *wink*

Then we grabbed a small salad in the food court while we waited for our movie to start, this is where the review comes into play.

We saw The Happening. WOW, what can I say.. except M. Night Shyamalan does it again! I really liked it, I like alot of his movies. He has a way of relaying the message without showing you everything. Makes you wonder. It really made me jump several times through out the movie.

Here's a trailer for you.

Learn something new every day..

I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone the other day and they are planning a trip overseas and mentioned she was getting quotes for travel health insurance. I didn't even know that existed so I was like, "What is that?!?"

She told me that it was just incase her or one of the kids got hurt or sick while they were away, since they would be gone for a few weeks in a foreign country. She didn't want to take any chances. She also said that it not only covered medical expenses but would cover emergency medical evacuation, accidental death, cost of returning home and alot more.

It really made a lot of sense to me and now I know about it, if I ever decide to do any foreign travel!

Father’s Day

It's that time again! With Mother's Day just past, Father's Day is just around the corner. I was looking around online for things that my husband might like but was having some trouble. So I was chatting with my friend Heather, and she suggested these watches by Jaeger LeCoultre. So, I took a look and they have some gorgeous watches. I am not so sure they are my husband's tastes but they are definately my Dad's style. Very classy and stylish, perfect to wear to work.

Thanks Heather!!

Totally off the wall..

But kinda funny, at least it is to me. The other night Dan and I were sitting here watching tv and all of a sudden an ad for Branson resorts comes on the tv. Hubby wasn't aware that Branson, MO was a pretty big resort hotspot and really neither did I until a few months ago when I discovered it and blogged about it. When I had heard about it before, I decided to research it so I looked it up in a search and found all sorts of cool stuff to do.

One thing in particular that caught my eye was the Silver Dollar City Theme Park. Now I know what you're probably thinking, once you've been to one theme park, you seen em all. That's normally what I think too, even though secretly I'm a big kid and I love theme parks! But this one seems a bit more interesting to me. It's "set to the tune of the 1880's Ozark culture". They've got rides, they've got demonstrating craftsmen, food (!), and loads of entertainment.

Well, there you have it.. I've sold myself! Hey honey! Guess where we're going this summer?!?!!

Happy Mother’s Day

Today started off a little rocky, I'm still a little cranky but I think that I was mostly just frustrated and I tend to bottle things up and then when they come out, boy do they come out!

My 12 year old picks up on these things and then he can be such a sweetheart and I feel awful that I was in such a foul mood and probably took it out on him. He made me a very nice turkey and cheese omelette with hashbrowns. He did a really great job too.

My mom ended up coming over and taking the kids away so I could rest. I ended up cleaning and doing laundry because it is easier for me to get these things done when no one is here to mess it up as it gets finished. My son bought me a new set of kitchen knives for Mother's Day, my sweet boy.

Dan sent me home with my mom because my brothers were taking her out to dinner and she wanted me to come too. We were originally going to go to Olive Garden but when we called at 5 they said if we were to come in right then it would be at least a 2-3 hour wait. So, we didn't go there! There was no way we could have done that, we had 2 little ones with us.

So we went to our favorite Chinese restaraunt and it was perfect. We actually got reservations, so hard to find places that actually take reservations anymore. My sister in law was asking me if I could watch the girls for a little bit on Wednesday morning as she is having surgery, and then my brother was explaining the drug treatment program with the pain medication she has to do for the 3 days following the surgery. Sounded a bit painful but she won't feel a thing!

And then as if we didn't eat enough, we went out for ice cream. Then it was home sweet home. I am pretty tired. I think I will be getting to bed pretty soon, I have a full day of loading product into my store tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
