Lots of Stuff_
I am still trying to get back into the swing of blogging regularly. Most of the time, it's just because I have nothing worthy of talking about going on lol. Not sure what is wrong with me, I used to blog everyday!

So here is what is new with me. I found out in the last few weeks that I have several large ovarian cysts. So, long story short is that I had a cyst rupture, which landed me in the ER and started a whole slew of testing and doctor appointments. I had an ultrasound last week and my OB/GYN is recommending that I have surgery to remove the cysts. The scheduler is going to call me next week with my surgery date. She did say that I could wait and have the surgery later but #1- I don't want too take the risk of another rupture and more pain. #2 I am supposed to start working full time outside the home and I don't want to start a brand new job and then have to put in for time off for surgery so it makes sense for me to just get it over with now.

I am also trying to get into the habit of entering sweepstakes and winning fun stuff! I created a new Twitter account specifically for contests that have Twitter entries so that I don't spam anyone unnecessarily. If you would like to the chance to enter all the contests I am entering, just follow me @sweeperchick76 on Twitter.

My very good friend, Heather, also has several giveaways posted on her blog. So run and check out her blog too!

Bad Blogger_
Yeah, yeah, I know. What can I say.. life gets in the way sometimes. I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday. Now that they are out of the way, maybe I can get back to business. If anyone was wondering, I am still on the Weight Watchers gravy train. I have lost 34.5 lbs to date and am still going strong.

Here is a topic I have been thinking a lot about lately because of all the ads for weight loss programs that are on TV right now. New Years is probably the most profitable times for these companies.. why? Because who doesn't resolve to eat better and get healthy?? I am a bit biased. I will admit that. But that is only because I know why Weight Watchers works. And no, I am not being paid to say any of this, wish I was but alas I am not. I see all the ads for Nutri-System and Jenny Craig.. and sure they work but they also cost you an arm and a leg in the food you have to buy in order to lose said weight. They don't teach you how to cook for yourself or even how to eat in public. So what happens when you are done losing weight? You either continue to spend a fortune on their foods or you go back to regular food and gain it all back because all you've learned is how to eat THEIR food. Again, personal opinion and observation.

That is where Weight Watchers is different. There is no required food to buy, you are taught to eat real food you get at the grocery store. Taught how to make the proper substitutions in order to continue to eat those family favorites and yummy goodies. Taught about proper proportions and even taught how to eat out in public!

I have been using WW since 2001 after the birth of my 3rd son. I successfully lost 20 lbs on the plan. I was forced to stop because I got pregnant again. I resumed after my 4th son and discovered the WW Nursing Moms program. Here I thought I wouldn't be able to actively do WW until I was done nursing, which could have been at least a year. I lost 37 lbs in 6 months that time and stopped because.. yep, you guessed it. I got pregnant again. Are we seeing a trend here? Trust me.. it ends here lol. After my 5th son, I lost 25 lbs. I was thinner to start and didn't gain a lot of weight during my pregnancy. I had about 35 to lose. The only reason I stopped losing was my own fault.. no fault of the program. I got very depressed and lazy and I went temporarily insane for a minute. I have been back on plan for 10 months now and feeling SO much better. I never ever plan to stray. I am excited to make my long term goal and I have a lot to look forward to when I do.

So there you have it. My 2 cents for whatever it's worth:)

Still Here_
I know it's been a little while since my last post. It's been kind of busy here for the last week or so but things should be getting back to normal now. This weekend I spent at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca working as a photo vendor with my hubby. We just got back last night and we are exhausted. It was quite an event. I managed to score myself a new CF card reader so I was finally able to get Greyson's first day of Kindergarten portrait off the memory card. It turned out so cute! He was showing me his new backpack for the first day of school. He is so proud of it.. because it has Spiderman on it, of course!! I did some minor edits on it and cropped it down. My absolute favorite of all of them! The comment form is now fixed!

That was close$
I totally spaced today. Hubbster came home and we were snuggling on the couch and all of a sudden I jumped up and yelled OMG!! You'd have thought a bug crawled up my butt & bit me! I suddenly remembered that I had an eye appt. I looked at the time and I was supposed to be there in 15 min. Oh crap!

My mom must have forgotten too because she was supposed to give me a ride. So, I'm calling all over the place trying to find my mother. I finally got her on the phone, she was in the shower. I literally 10 minutes to get there (they allowed 10 min grace time). She picked me up with 6 minutes to spare. I barely made it.

Phew! Now that that is over. I got a new Rx for new glasses, it barely changed. I've had the same glasses for like 7 yrs now and they are all messed up. Scratched lens and the nose pads are broken so they were tearing up the inside of my nose, especially when it is hot out and my nose sweats.

I got 2 pairs for $149, regular frames for everyday and a pair or Rx sunglasses from Sears. I have to go back in a week to try them on and make sure they fit. I will be so happy to get rid of these old buggers.

Happy Monday!$
Or is it? I have a love/hate relationship with Mondays. I hate them because I have to take the kid to school an hour early and it takes me a few hours to function in the morning, especially when I am recooperating from a weekend alone with kids. Alone with kids... contradiciting but somehow it makes sense. I love them because I only have to walk down to the school once and all the kids come home together. And there's more quiet time for me to clean, yay! *sarcasm*

Today, I have the lovely task of finding a yellow shirt that isn't completely unflattering and black jeans or a skirt or something for a race we are working in 2 wks. This is not easy. I'm hoping I can get away with a black or white top and a yellow cami underneath. Much easier to find and looks better on.

Anyway, I best get going.. I have to leave to take the kid to school in 45 minutes. Have a great day!

So Excited!$
I just bought myself the EA Active for $9.98 with free shipping from Amazon. It was one of the Gold Deals, so it was marked down for like an hour or whatever the time limit was.. I got on with like 2 minutes to spare. I have been saving up Amazon gift cards for this from Swagbucks (a search & win search engine) and I had like $35 in gift card codes and then I just paid the balance.

This thing looks and sounds SO cool, I can't wait for it to get here! It has all sorts of fun stuff like Inline Skating and Cardio Dance. Much more involved than the Wii Fit but it also has games that use the balance board so that is a huge bonus.

Tattoo Crazy $
I've been thinking long and hard about what I wanted for my next tattoo and after careful planning and research I thought I had come to a final idea on my design. Well, after talking to a friend about it.. it was stuck in my head and the more I kept thinking about it, the more I wanted something different. All I knew I wanted was some type of flower with 2 hummngbirds as the main image and cherry blossom filler.

I thought I had settled on Coral (trumpet) Honeysuckle, since it is a major hummingbird attractor.  Now, I'm leaning toward purple orchids and I think that this is definate. I think the purple will go well with the soft pink cherry blossoms and the bright colors of the hummingbirds. The type of hummingbird I am looking at is the Ruby Throated Hummingbird. It is a gorgeous green color with a ruby colored patch on the throat, hence the name 'Ruby Throated'.:D

This one is going on my right arm, from the shoulder down to  the middle of my arm.. maybe a little lower so when I wear a tee shirt the flowers will peek through. I also want it to slightly branch off from the shoulder onto my chest. You can understand now why I wanted a slightly bigger flower at the top of the shoulder.

I am really excited about this tattoo.. hopefully, I don't change my mind again in the next 5 months LOL!

Nice & Quiet $
I just dropped off Greyson at school. We had a rough start this morning and almost didn't go. I am not feeling so great but I knew if I kept him home, I'd feel worse so off we went. Thank god for nice people! One of the other moms of his classmates, who I met recently was kind enough to pick us up on  the way and bring me back home. I have so much to do and all I want to do right now is nap lol. Poor Momma. I think I am going to make myself some lunch and go lay down. I am sure I will have more to report later on once the kids get home:D

Back to Basics $

As you can see, I am no longer designing digiscrap supplies but I am going to come back to blogging. If I happen to get a bug up my butt, I may offer up free or cheap alphas because I really do love doing alphas. I will still be scrapping, I hope. I haven't felt like doing much of that lately either.

My youngest started Kindergarten this year so I have a little more free time to write a little something each day. I am back on the weight loss train and I am doing really well. I am down 19.5 pounds so far but I have a lot more to go. Anyway, I just wanted to post a little something incase someone I know stumbles across this and isn't left wondering what the heck they missed! I hope everyone enjoys the new blog and please excuse the dust while I set everything up. Thanks for visiting!
